4Actually, it is 24" x 14" x 11"

The actual measurements of the exterior of this Delsey Helium Superlite bag are 24" x 14" x 11."

When I ordered this bag, I already had the Delsey Luggage Helium Breeze 3.0 bag. I use that very similar spinner bag as a carry-on for international flights on airlines that allow large carry-ons (such as British Airways, etc.). Actually, even that bag stands 2" too tall for BA, but it is significantly narrower than the maximum allowed, thus I've yet to be troubled by airline personnel for using it.

When I ordered the Superlite bag, I was expecting something very close to USA domestic size limits. But, the Superlite is the same size as the Breeze 3.0, and is only suitable as an international carry-on and really only on those international airlines that are fairly generous and lenient about bag size.

In their listings at Amazon, both bags are stated as being smaller than they actually are (at least if you are looking at exterior dimensions, which is what airline restrictions are aimed at). Both bags are listed as 21" bags. With wheels and handles they are 24" tall and they both are about 11" thick unless you buy a strap and tightly cinch them down to make them more compact than they naturally are.

Also, it is worth noting that if overstuffed, they will puff out significantly more than 11". Lightly over-stuffed, they will probably be at least 12" or 13" thick. That is even before you unzip the expanding fold for even more room.

Considering their complexity and features, the Superlite is very light and on my fairly accurate travel scales weigh around 6.5 lbs / 3.0 kgs. The Breeze 3.0 weighs in at a sturdier 9.0 lbs / 4.1 kgs.

Both bags are stable and roll well on all fours, and equally well when tilted to roll on 2 wheels.

If you open up the expanding fold and pack the bag to volumetric capacity with bricks, I'm sure you can get it to fall over all by itself. Otherwise, for most reasonable loads I haven't had any problems (I'm a bit of a pack-rat, albeit with the expanding folds always left zipped closed).

As far as differences go, as I mentioned earlier, the Breeze 3.0 is sturdier. It has thicker telescoping handles and beefier wheel mounts.

The Breeze has 4 interior zippered pouches in the main compartment and a snap pouch. The Superlite is more spartan, and has 2 interior zippered pouches in the main compartment.

The Breeze has a strap for you to attach another bag to it.

Overall, the Breeze seems a nicer bag, if a bit heavier.

Both bags have user replaceable wheels, although I have yet to determine how easy it is to get replacement stock.

For what its worth, I've used Samsonite spinners for a decade or so, and I've learned that occasionally replacing a wheel comes with the territory. So hopefully when a wheel falls off one of my Delseys, I'll be able to get replacements as easily as I've been able to with Samsonite. If I find out otherwise, you can be sure I'll say so in a revision to my review.

While I'm rambling on about topics of peripheral interest, I've also got a Delsey Helium X'pert Ultra Light 28" spinner that is a tall medium width bag (narrowish compared to most bags of its height) that is perfect for standard snorkeling / diving fins and is long enough for specialized fin bags that usually add 2" to 3" more to the length than just carrying the fins bare. So a soft 28" to 30" fin bag can be made to fit fairly easily (mine are 30" long). However, its not long enough for very specialized free-diving fins (many of those are at least 6" longer than a standard 24" fin). So if you have some slightly longer stuff, then a stand-up spinner duffle like the X'pert can be convenient for most medium-long items. But, be careful to measure the very long items since some may need an even taller bag than the X'pert.

Regarding bags in general, I'm very biased: I've used spinners for a long time and unless a bag is a spinner, or can be stacked easily on a spinner, or can be attached easily to a spinner, then I lose interest very fast. I've only got one 2-wheeled roller bag left to replace. Soon enough it will be gone and I'll be using an all spinner fleet.

I love my collection of older hard-case Samsonite spinners, but when the mission calls for a very light, affordable soft-side spinner, the Delsey's have been doing well for me lately and I hope that continues.

I'm just not going to try to pass this one off as a carry-on on a domestic flight.

I took one star off simply because I like the sturdier build quality of the Delsey Helium Breeze 3.0 better. But if weight is an extremely sensitive concern, then the Super-Lite might be the perfect bag for you.

5EXCELLENT!
By J. Gillette
I purchased the 25" version in Blue and absolutely LOVE IT. I do a lot of business travel and for short trips, I can pack a LOT of outfits, shoes, ect. I want to get the larger size for longer (or family) trips. It's durable, super spacious and pretty! It stands out when you're looking for your bag on the carousel at the airport too!

5Excellent
By janice
The best suitcase I've ever purchased. Five plane rides and only one tiny scratch. It has more space than you think. I am going to buy the next size down for smaller trips.

5Easier travel
By Sharon Cassady
Perfect size and very light exactly what I wanted. I bought the 29" earlier this year and was very pleased that I was able to pack more and have less to worry about as far as weight issues.
