5Worth the money, light and strong
By G_to-the_D
So, usually I buy cheap luggage because I figure all luggage breaks eventually. But I decided to splurge a bit because I wanted to try a hardside suitcase and because the color of this (lime green) is so distinctive that there's no way I wouldn't be able to pick this suitcase out of the masses of typical black models! This is a bit premature for a review since the quality of luggage doesn't start to shine through until you've gone on a bunch of trips over the course of a year or more, but I'll give a *tentative* review here and update this review in the future.

First of all, this is a *light* hardside suitcase. The ultralight nature of this new suitcase by Delsey is all in the shell material, which is not the thick, hard, polycarbonate or carbon material used by more expensive/heavier suitcases. It's actually more of a barbie doll plastic. But, it works amazingly well. I've taken this suitcase (two actually) on several international trips, and it has been banged around like a pro with no damage. So I guess Delsey knew what they were doing.

The inside compartment is clean and fairly flat, with no awkward bumps or rails that are common on this type of suitcase. A little bit of that, but not much.

The real test of quality is how well the wheels and retractable handle hold up after a few years. My initial impressions are that these wheels and handle are great, but take that with a grain of salt: I haven't eaten a bushel of salt with this suitcase yet. I'll come back to this review in a few years after many more trips and give the final analysis. For now, a tentative 5 stars.

4Lovely suitcase
By chumee
I haven't traveled with this case myself, but a family member used it for international travel once between the U.S. and India. I bought the lime green, 30" case and it's lovely. However, my aunt bought the same thing in yellow and it's just so sunny and beautiful, I'm exchanging mine with hers.
The case is unbelievably light for it's size! And rolling it around is a dream. :)
It got slightly scuffed on the journey. Nothing a little nail polish remover and a wet sponge couldn't handle though. Scratches are a given with hard cases so that doesn't really bother me much.
I've given this case only 4 stars because I'm yet to put it through the paces myself, so maybe I'll come back and re-write this review in time.
Also, I am a little bit disappointed that it doesn't have a separator pouch inside the case. I've seen this in other Delsey cases where the top half can be zipped closed to separate the case into two compartments. It would have been really handy.

1Huge disappointment
By B. Jones
First - the color is a mustard yellow, not the bright yellow shown online

Second - the handle does not extend far enough for comfortable use

Third - the handle won't stay up as you try to wheel it along

Fourth - The wheels are horrible. If you are on a very smooth floor, it is great. However, as soon as you have to cross a slight bump, go onto carpet, or in a parking lot, it fights you every step, making it awkward and slowing you down.

If I hadn't used it this weekend I would return ti. But now I'm stuck with it. A VERY expensive mistake.
